No. Plugable Transfer Cables are not compatible with Windows while the computer is running in S Mode.
This is a limitation of Windows S Mode, not a problem with the transfer cable.
Why Are Plugable Transfer Cables Not Compatible With Windows S Mode?
Plugable Transfer Cables require the Bravura Easy Computer Sync desktop application to be installed on both Windows computers.
Windows S Mode is designed to allow applications from the Microsoft Store. Because Easy Computer Sync is not distributed through the Microsoft Store, it cannot be installed while S Mode is enabled.
Easy Computer Sync is required to:
- Establish the connection between the two computers
- Access and transfer files between the systems
- Use the transfer, synchronization, and drag-and-drop features provided by Plugable Transfer Cables
Without the Easy Computer Sync software, the transfer cable cannot be used for PC-to-PC file transfers.
Can I Switch Out of Windows S Mode?
Yes. Microsoft allows compatible Windows systems to switch out of S Mode so that applications from outside the Microsoft Store can be installed.
Switching out of S Mode is permanent. Once the computer has been switched out of S Mode, you can't change it back to S Mode.
Before making this change on a work, school, or otherwise managed computer, check with your IT administrator.

What Should I Do After Switching Out of S Mode?
Once the computer is no longer running in S Mode, download and install the latest version of Bravura Easy Computer Sync on both computers before connecting the transfer cable.
