USBC-PDMON is compatible with most USB-C Power Delivery compatible power adapters. Plugable offers a couple of options for these, such as the PS-EPR-140C1 and the USBC-PS-60W.
How Power Allocation Works With the USBC-PDMON
When connecting a power adapter, the maximum charging power delivered to the host computer is reduced by 15W to account for the power reserved to run the USBC-PDMON. For example, if you use a 100W charger, the laptop will be limited to 85W of charging power.
Power Adapter Recommendations
The Plugable PS-EPR-140C1 (up to 140W) is the recommended choice because it allows the monitor to deliver the full 85W of power to your connected host for efficient charging and peak performance. Alternatively, the Plugable USBC-PS-60W provides up to 60W, leaving 45W for the host; this is suitable for lower-power devices but may result in slower charging speeds compared to higher-wattage options.
