How to use Digital Viewer

This article explains how to use Digital Viewer which is available for Windows and macOS, a webcam software for Plugable digital microscopes.

 

Install

Windows: 

  1. Download Digital Viewer from Plugable USB Microscope Software page 
  2. Double-click the download file to launch.  When the User Account Control screen appears, press Yes to proceed
  3. On the ‘Plugable Digital Viewer’ panel, click Install
  4. Once ‘Completed’ is displayed, click Close

Mac: 

  1. Download Digital Viewer from Plugable USB Microscope Software page 
  2. Drag and drop the download package into the Applications folder 
  3. Click the Digital Viewer icon in the Applications folder to launch
  4. In the 'Install Plugable Digital Viewer’ panel, click Continue
  5. Change the install location if necessary, then click Install  
  6. Input the User Name and password to install the application
  7. When ”The installation was successful." message is displayed, click Close

 

How to set up Digital Viewer

  1. Connect Plugable USB2-MICRO-250X microscope to the system
  2. Launch Digital Viewer (if needed, please refer to How to launch Digital Viewer) 
  3. Click the Settings icon on the top left.  Select ‘USB Microscope’ or ‘Digital Microscope’ from the Device dropdown list
  4.  Setup other settings for Timed Shot, Movie Setup, and/or Folder Settings if necessary. Click Apply button to close the panel
